Nova Geodesia is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing Research Articles, Review Articles, Notes, and Editorials in geodesy, geospatial sciences, environmental studies, geography, engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields. Founded by academics from Romanian universities, the journal was created to address the need for specialized scientific publishing platforms in geodesy and related areas across Romania, Southeast Europe, the Balkans, and the wider international research community. Its mission is to support disciplinary development and promote international scientific exchange by providing a fully open and visible platform for established and early-career researchers. Nova Geodesia welcomes interdisciplinary contributions in areas including geodesy, cartography, GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, LiDAR, infrastructure projects, hydrography, earth observation, environmental planning, physical and human geography, landscape science, ecology, agriculture, forestry, land use, and socio-spatial studies. The journal is supported by an international Editorial Board and upholds high standards of peer review, transparency, research integrity, and editorial ethics. Authors retain copyright. Published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), in accordance with the DOAJ definition of open access.
